Dr Madhumati Deshpande

Madhumati Deshpande is currently serving as Department Coordinator, and Assistant Professor, at the Department of International Studies, Political Science, and History, Christ University, Bangalore. She holds a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and has formerly worked as an Editor at Springer Reference Works, New Delhi. She has also been a Graduate Assistant, at the Carter Center, Atlanta, in its Democracy Program. She has published research articles on Indian politics, influence of religion on foreign policy, India-Sri-Lanka relations, and maritime policies, among others.
